This Unit performs the following activities: -

1. Ensure the enforcement of the instruments establishing the Fund and provide legal counseling service to the Board, Fund Management and the entire management team;
2. Perform the secretariat function to the Board of the Fund;
3. Represent the Fund in court and other avenues in which the Fund takes the side as a party to a legal case in form of a litigation or other form of proceedings in collaboration with the Office of the Attorney General;
4. Coordinate  the  Board  and  Management  meetings  and assume the role  of custodianship to the proper records of each meeting proceeding and contracts entered by the Fund progressively;
5. Coordinate in the process to liaise, consult and cooperate with Ministries of Government, Independent Departments or Authorities on matters related to the universal service;
6. Collaborate  with  other  Division  responsible  for  project  implementation  in  the management of contracts entered with service providers to ensure compliance of terms and conditions;
7. Ensure protection of the Fund against any sources of reputation risks and related matters; and
8. Participate in the exercises intended to review, amend or repeal the legal instruments establishing the Fund as need arises.
